Body Stress Release
Body Stress Release (BSR) literally means letting go of stress in the body. BSR supports the body’s self-healing ability and may therefore be a solution for a variety of conditions.
These conditions may result from too much stored muscle tension, which over time “locks” into the muscle structure of the body and is what we refer to as “body stress.”

I first heard about BSR when I was suffering from a herniated disc while in Johannesburg. I was fascinated enough by the technique that I sought a practitioner after the disc operation. Fortunately, Geraldine encouraged me to come to her practice in Bothasig. After the first few sessions, I was hooked. Less fascinated by the technique than the obvious benefits to my health and wellbeing.
I suffered for decades with the effects of a spine affected by scoliosis and a body that held onto stress. I had even been for medieval traction, traditional physiotherapy, needling, Chinese cupping and massages. I resorted to most of these for relief that was short lived. I have one of the best physios on the planet. But even she admonished me to find a maintenance plan that did not need emergency procedures.
I was soon a weekly regular at BSR. My sleeping improved, my back spasms have remained at bay, my general feeling of relaxation has improved and most of all I don’t live in angst of being attacked by my back problems.
